the game is named after the wolves.
WOLFGAME
50,000 animals live on this farm. 90% are sheep. 10% are wolves. the sheep make $WOOL. the wolves take it.
you are probably not a wolf. ninety percent of you are the yield.
nothing here is live.
no contract is deployed. no mint is open. no token exists. there is no date and there will not be one until there is. this page explains the machine and shows the art. that is all it does.
eighty two seconds.
the whole game
every number in this film is a constant in the contracts. the animals in it are real Gen 0 tokens, not illustrations of them.
no sound is required to follow it, but it is mixed for sound.
AWOO
the loop
five moves. that is the whole game. every number on this page is a constant in the contracts, not a projection.
-
1
mint
a Gen 0 animal costs 0.06942 ETH. ten per transaction, maximum. 90% chance it is a sheep, 10% chance it is a wolf. you pay first and find out at reveal.
lambing
-
2
stake
put a sheep in the Barn. it starts shearing 10,000 $WOOL a day for standing still. a wolf in the Barn does not shear. it waits.
penning in
-
3
shear
claim the wool whenever you like. the sheep stays in the Barn and the timer resets to zero.
a shear
-
4
tax
20% of that claim goes straight to the Pack. it is not a fee and it does not reach a treasury. staked wolves split it in proportion to Alpha.
the wolves' cut
-
5
rob
taking the sheep out with the wool needs 2 days of wool grown first, then a coin flip. half the time the Pack takes all of it. you keep the sheep. you lose the wool.
the flip
the two exits are the game. claim often and pay 20% every time, or let it ride and put the whole pile on a coin flip. there is no third door.

2,400,000,000 divided by 10,000 a day is 240,000 sheep-days of wool. ever. that is arithmetic on the two constants above, not a forecast. after the last shear, Land.
ninety percent of you.
the Flock
90% of you.
a sheep is a machine that prints 10,000 $WOOL a day for standing still. it has no defence, no ability and no vote. its only decision is when to touch the pile, and every version of touching it costs something.
- wants
- wool in the pen and no reason to move it.
- earns
- 10,000 $WOOL a day, while staked in the Barn.
- loses
- 20% on every claim. 50% of everything on a failed exit.
- mantra
- stand still. every day you do not claim, a wolf goes hungry.
- shepherds
- penning in
- shearing
- making a run for it
and the ten percent that eat.
the Pack
10% of you.
wolves do not shear. wolves collect. a staked wolf produces nothing and is paid out of what the sheep produce, three separate ways, and it is paid whether it is watching or not.
- wants
- more sheep staked, more claims, more attempted exits.
- earns
- 20% of every claim. all of every failed exit. 1 in 10 of every Gen 1 mint.
- loses
- nothing. that is the point of the wolf.
- mantra
- the wolves ate well.
Alpha, 5 to 8
every wolf is given an Alpha when it is minted. the tax pool is split in proportion to it, so a wolf holding 8 takes eight shares where a wolf holding 5 takes five. Alpha also weights the draw for who steals a Gen 1 mint. higher alpha eats first and eats most.
| Alpha | chance at mint | share of the tax pool |
|---|---|---|
| 8 | 0.8% | 8 shares |
| 7 | 15.7% | 7 shares |
| 6 | 31.4% | 6 shares |
| 5 | 52.1% | 5 shares |
odds are the original alias table, kept. in the 600 animals rendered below there are 73 wolves and exactly one of them is an Alpha 8. that is the one above.
- the Pack
- the wolves' cut
- walked home
- the wolves ate well
here a theft. there a theft.
Gen 1 lambing
the first 10,000 animals are Gen 0 and cost ETH. the other 40,000 are minted with $WOOL, and the $WOOL is burned. it does not move to a treasury. it stops existing.
animals 10,001 to 20,000
20,000
$WOOL, burned
animals 20,001 to 40,000
40,000
$WOOL, burned
animals 40,001 to 50,000
80,000
$WOOL, burned
the tier is set by the token id being minted, so the price steps up while you sleep and never steps back down.
the 1 in 10
every Gen 1 mint has a 10% chance of never reaching you. at reveal, a staked wolf takes the animal instead, drawn weighted by Alpha. you paid the $WOOL. it is still burned.
the contract does not hide this. the event is
AnimalStolen(address minter, address thief, uint256 tokenId)
and all three are indexed, so anyone can watch it happen to anyone.
Gen 0 animals are never stolen. that is the only thing you buy with the ETH.
the farm gets bigger.
Land
a second collection, and the only thing on this page that makes a sheep earn more. it does not make a sheep safer.
- 20,000plots in the Valley
- 10,000free, one claim per Gen 0 animal
- 10,000sold in a Dutch auction
- 1 to 10acres per plot, rolled at mint
- +1%on your claims per staked acre
- +50%where the bonus stops
- 101Communities, one per plot
the auction
the 10,000 paid plots glide from 0.6942 ETH down to 0.1 ETH over 6,942 minutes. no allowlist, no tiers, no bonding curve. one price, falling, for everybody.
the catch
the acreage bonus is applied to your Barn claim, which means it is applied before the tax. the wolves take 20% of the bonus too. staking Land makes you a bigger meal.
Land ships when it ships. AWOO is not a date.
six hundred of them. count the wolves.
600 animals
no diffusion model touched these. each animal is a 32 by 32 pixel portrait drawn by code from its own seed, about 700 bytes on disk, blown up here with nearest-neighbour so the pixels stay square. these 600 are a sample render from the same compositor that will draw the collection. nothing here is minted.
loading the flock.
rarity counts shown on each animal are counts within these 600, not within the 50,000.
AWOO
how it is built
four contracts. Solidity 0.8.35, OpenZeppelin 5.7.0, a Foundry suite. none of them are deployed, so there is no address to give you.
-
WOOL.solthe ERC-20. minting and burning are gated to controller contracts: the Barn mints, the Flock burns. nobody else can do either.
-
Flock.solone ERC-721 holding both species, named
Wolf Game, symbolWOLF. pricing, the 90/10 roll, the Gen 1 tiers, the 10% theft, and commit-reveal minting. -
Barn.solthe whole loop. accrual, the 20% tax, the exit flip, the Alpha accumulator that pays the Pack, and the 2.4B ceiling.
-
Land.sol20,000 plots, named
Wolf Game Land, symbolACRES. free claims, the Dutch auction, acreage, and the claim booster.
why the mint happens in two transactions
the game this one is descended from was exploited within 48 hours of launch. its randomness was built out of values the caller could already see, so a mint could be simulated first and only submitted when the roll came back good. the guard it had against contracts did not help, because the attack ran from an ordinary wallet.
so minting here is split. mintCommit takes your payment and locks which
token ids you are buying. mintReveal rolls the outcome from a blockhash
that did not exist when you paid. there is nothing to simulate, and waiting for a
luckier reveal block changes nothing, because the outcome is pinned to the block your
commit named.
the tests
forge test runs 84 tests across 8 suites and all 84 pass. they cover the
money paths, not just the happy ones: the tax split, the robbery branch, the pack
bookkeeping, a paid commit left unrevealed past the 256-block window, and the cap.
a real bug, found here
the suite caught the Barn advancing a staked sheep's clock past the 2.4B ceiling, so a
dry barn would have kept minting $WOOL forever. it is fixed. put the bug back and
test_globalCap_haltsProduction fails by 4,000,000 $WOOL, which is how we
know the fix is load-bearing and not decorative.
no external audit has been done.
one is recommended before mainnet and it has not happened yet. a passing test suite is the authors marking their own homework. read the contracts before you play. assume the wolves already did.
